Welcome!

We hope you’ll join us for this Sunday’s service so you can experience Linton Free Church in person. Through contemporary music and practical messages, we present the timeless truths of the Bible in a way that is relevant to the real life issues that we all face.

Upon Arrival

Most people arrive at about 10.20 to be greeted by the friendly faces of the two door stewards. They are given a notice sheet and a song sheet, if they wish one. The words to all the songs are also shown through an overhead projector.

The service starts at 10.30 and although there is not a fixed order of service, everyone is made aware what is coming next (and when to stand and when to sit!). Our services tend to be lively, especially for the first 20 mins when the children are with us. When they leave, to go to crèche, or their various activity groups, the congregation is usually halved! After approximately 40 mins, the children return to church for the final worship song of the service.

After the Service

After the service fresh coffee, tea and juice is served in the hall that is part of the church building. We hope that you will continue to stay with us as it offers a real opportunity to meet and enjoy our community.

About us

Linton is a rural village about 10 miles south of Cambridge (we have a zoo!). Our church is situated in Horn Lane (map), but its best to park in the High street as Horn Lane can be a tight squeeze.

Linton Free Church was established in 1698 and is a member of the United Reformed Church, the Evangelical Alliance and Linton Churches Together.
