Men's Breakfast - June 7th

full-english-breakfast

Twice yearly, Linton Free Church holds a men's breakfast event which local Christian men are encouraged to attend and invite friends along to. We enjoy a cooked breakfast together at a local pub and listen to a guest speaker share about their life and faith.

Our next breakfast takes place on the 7th of June 2014
This will take place at The Old Red Lion Pub on Saturday 8 February, 8.45 a.m. for 9.00. We should be finished by 10.00. We start with breakfast (Full English) and then listen to a talk with an opportunity for a few questions.

Philip Bamber will be the speaker (and also our preacher on Sunday June 8th)

He is an accomplished speaker and preacher, having spent over 25 years as Midlands Representative for TearFund.

For the last two years he has been National Representative for GB4A, (Good Books for Asia, www.gb4a.org) which is a UK Charity helping to train senior pastors and church leaders in China and organising the legal distribution of free Bibles in partnership with the Chinese Registered Church, focussed on rural towns and villages where incomes are low and access to Bibles is difficult.

Philip travels to China regularly, and will be leading a team of volunteers in June in partnership with Mission Direct and local charity the Chinese Relief & Development Foundation. They will repair and refurbish school rooms in a remote part of Sichuan province, re-equipping them for use as a support centre for "Left Behind Children" whose parents are working hundreds of miles away in urban factories."
